Edmond Fernández Ripoll

Edmond Fernández Ripoll, born Edmond in March 1938 in Barcelona, is a Catalan comic book artist and illustrator best known as the creator of the adventure series *Jan Europa*. He entered the field during the 1960s, working steadily as an artist, colorist, and inker across European comics from 1961 to 1992. His most credited titles include *Futura*, *As de corazones*, and *Joyas Literarias Juveniles*, as well as contributions to international series like *Wereldberoemde verhalen*, *Welt-Bestseller*, and *Conny*. Edmond’s style is clean and narrative-driven, suited to both serialized adventure and literary adaptations. His signature work, *Jan Europa*, remains his most recognized co-creation, though details of collaborators are not widely recorded.
