Dennis P. Eichhorn
Dennis P. Eichhorn was an American writer best known for his raw, autobiographical comic book series *Real Stuff*. He was born on August 19, 1945, and died on October 8, 2015. Eichhorn came to comics later in life, bringing a confessional, adult-oriented voice that drew comparisons to Jack Kerouac, Ken Kesey, and Charles Bukowski. His stories unflinchingly explored sex, drugs, and alcohol, often drawn by a rotating cast of artists. His most credited works include *Real Stuff*, *Real Smut*, and *Hands Off!*, all published between 1991 and 1994. While he didn't achieve mainstream fame, Eichhorn carved a distinct niche in alternative comics, influencing creators who valued personal, unvarnished storytelling. His legacy endures as a pioneer of the autobiographical genre, proving that comics could tackle the messy, unglamorous realities of adult life.
