David Campiti
David Campiti was born on May 9, 1958, in the United States. He is best known as a writer, packager, and animation producer whose career bridged the independent comics boom of the late 1980s and early 1990s with the global animation industry. Campiti was deeply involved with several small publishers during that period, including Eternity Comics and Pied Piper Comics, before founding his own company, Innovation Publishing. As a writer, he is most associated with the superhero team series *Hero Alliance*, as well as *Beauty and the Beast*, *Greylore*, *Legends of the Stargrazers*, *Exposure*, and the manga adaptation *3x3 Eyes*. His work often blended genre adventure with a clean, accessible storytelling style. Later, Campiti shifted focus to the business side of comics and animation, becoming CEO of Glass House Graphics, an international agency and studio representing illustrators, writers, painters, and digital designers. His career as a writer spans nearly three decades, from 1985 to 2014, with credits on nearly 100 issues. While not a frequent award recipient, his influence is felt through the careers he helped launch and the independent titles he shepherded during a transformative era in comics publishing.
