Bruno Brindisi
Bruno Brindisi, born 3 June 1964 in Italy, is a comic book artist best known for his long, atmospheric runs on *Dylan Dog* and *Tex Willer*, where his moody linework and keen sense of shadow became hallmarks of the Italian horror and western genres. He entered the industry in the late 1980s, contributing to small-press fanzines before breaking into mainstream publishing. His big break came in 1990, when he began illustrating for Sergio Bonelli Editore, quickly becoming a regular artist on *Dylan Dog*—a series that would define much of his career. Brindisi’s style is characterized by meticulous cross-hatching, expressive character faces, and a cinematic use of light and dark, which he often enhanced by handling his own coloring and inking. He frequently collaborated with writers such as Tiziano Sclavi and Michele Medda, and his work on *Tex Willer*—including the Norwegian spin-off *Unge Tex Willer*—showcased his versatility with period action. Among his notable co-creations is the *Speciale Nick Raider* series. Brindisi remained active through the 2020s, contributing to anniversary collections and special editions. He has received several industry honors, including the prestigious Yellow Kid Award for best Italian artist.
