Attilio Micheluzzi (August 11, 1930 – September 20, 1990) was an Italian comic book artist and writer, widely regarded as a master of the medium. Born in Umag, he passed away in Naples. He entered comics relatively late in life, but over two decades produced a remarkable body of work, often signing as Igor Artz Bajeff. His best-known series include *Johnny Focus*, *Petra Chérie*, *Marcel Labrume*, *Rosso Stenton*, *Air Mail*, *Bab-el-Mandeb*, *Roy Mann*, *Siberia*, *Titanic*, and *Afghanistan*. These stories appeared in prestigious Italian auteur magazines such as *Il Giornalino*, *Corriere dei ragazzi*, *alter alter*, *Orient Express*, *Comic Art*, *L'Eternauta*, and *Corto Maltese*, as well as the series *Un uomo un'avventura*. In our catalog, he is credited across 41 issues (1977–2015) as artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer, with his most frequent credits on *Air Mail* and *Orient Express* titles. Micheluzzi’s style combined a crisp, expressive line with a strong sense of atmosphere and historical detail. He often collaborated with writer and editor Alfredo Castelli, and his work was known for its adventurous, globe-trotting narratives. His legacy endures as a key figure in Italian comics, influencing later generations with his disciplined craft and storytelling range.
