Andy Ristaino is an American artist best known for his work as a lead character designer, writer, storyboard artist, and background artist on the animated series *Adventure Time*. Born in the United States, Ristaino began his career in comics in the early 2000s, contributing as an artist, inker, and letterer on licensed manga adaptations for Viz Media. His most credited titles include *Bleach*, *The Prince of Tennis*, and the *Bleach 3-in-1* editions, with a catalog of 22 issues spanning from 2004 to 2013. On *Adventure Time*, Ristaino helped shape the show’s distinctive, whimsical visual style, designing many of its beloved characters and contributing to its surreal storytelling. His work often features bold, expressive lines and a playful sense of design that complements the series’ offbeat humor. Ristaino’s key collaborators on the show included Pendleton Ward and other members of the creative team. While he did not receive major industry awards for his comics work, his contributions to *Adventure Time* earned him a lasting place in animation history. Later in his career, he continued to work in animation and illustration, leaving a legacy of imaginative design and storytelling that influenced a generation of artists.
