Amy Reeder, born August 25, 1980, is an American comic book artist and writer. She first gained notice for her self-published series *Fool's Gold*, which showcased her clean, expressive linework and strong sense of design. Reeder’s big break came when she was tapped to illustrate *Madame Xanadu*, a supernatural series written by Matt Wagner for DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint. Her atmospheric, detailed art—blending classic fantasy with a modern sensibility—helped define the book’s moody tone.

She later collaborated with writer Greg Rucka on the early issues of *Batwoman*, co-creating the character’s iconic new look and establishing the gothic, noir-infused visual style of that series. Reeder also co-created *Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur* with writers Brandon Montclare and Amy Ehrlich, a beloved all-ages title for Marvel. Her work is noted for its dynamic storytelling, expressive characters, and a polished, slightly manga-influenced finish.

After a period of relative quiet, Reeder returned to comics with creator-owned projects and freelance work. She has received multiple Eisner Award nominations for her art, and her contributions to *Madame Xanadu* and *Batwoman* remain touchstones for fans of modern fantasy and superhero comics. Reeder’s influence endures through her distinctive visual voice and the memorable characters she helped bring to life.
