Abhishek Singh
Abhishek Singh (born 1982) is an Indian visual artist and graphic novelist best known for his lush, painterly work on mythological and spiritual comics. He first gained attention in the mid-2000s with his vivid illustrations for Virgin Comics, most notably as the artist and colorist on *Ramayan 3392 A.D.*, a futuristic reimagining of the Hindu epic. Singh’s style blends intricate linework with luminous, almost stained-glass color, giving his pages a timeless, devotional quality. He also contributed to *Krishna: A Journey Within* and *India Authentic*, and later worked on *Hellchild: The Unholy* for Dynamite Entertainment. His career in comics spanned from 2006 to 2017, with credits on 11 issues. Singh’s signature collaborations include writer Deepak Chopra and the team at Virgin Comics, where he helped define the company’s early visual identity. Beyond comics, his fine-art paintings have been exhibited internationally. He has not received major industry awards, but his work is frequently cited for its influence on Indian graphic storytelling. Singh remains active as a painter and continues to explore sacred themes through his art.
