Who is Young Eagle?

A young frontier hero born from the golden age of Charlton Comics, Young Eagle galloped onto the scene in 1956 courtesy of writer Joe Gill and artist Bill Molno — a creative team who knew how to deliver pulse-pounding Western adventure on a budget and make it count. Charlton's Western titles had a scrappy, unpretentious charm all their own, and Young Eagle fit right into that tradition of wide-open-range storytelling. With appearances preserved today through Gwandanaland Comics, this pint-sized piece of 1950s Western comics history is a rewarding find for collectors who love digging into the overlooked corners of the genre's heyday.
