X-Man
X-Man is a character from the 2000 AD strip Banzai Battalion, a satirical sci-fi adventure featuring a colourful military ensemble that includes Captain Bug Stomper and 'Sarge.' Operating in the irreverent, action-driven tradition of 2000 AD's anthology universe.
Emerging from the gritty, satirical universe of 2000 AD in 1999, X-Man is a creation of the legendary John Wagner and artist Henry Flint, debuting in the pages that have long been home to British comics' most inventive and irreverent storytelling. Rooted in the Copper/Modern Age, this character carves out a niche in the wild ensemble world of Banzai Battalion, sharing adventures with the likes of Judge Dredd and a colourful cast including Captain Bug Stomper and Charlie 'Sarge' β company that tells you everything about the anarchic, action-packed flavour of their corner of the 2000 AD universe. With appearances stretching nearly two decades across some of Rebellion's most beloved collections, X-Man may not be the most prolific figure in the catalogue, but any character who earns a place alongside Dredd himself and springs from the minds of Wagner and Flint is well worth tracking down for the dedicated collector.
