Whiplash
A Copper Age Marvel villain, this Whiplash debuted in 1990 and became associated with a roster of fierce female mercenaries, crossing paths with Captain America. She is distinct from earlier characters sharing the Whiplash name.
Debuting in 1990's Marvel Comics Presents #49, this Copper Age Marvel creation from John Figueroa and Ron Wilson carved out a niche in the darker, grittier corner of the universe that era so loved. Over a sixteen-year span, Whiplash shared pages with fierce company β Leeann Foreman, Bloodlust, and Knockout among them β and turned up most notably in the pages of Captain America, always a sign that a character is rubbing shoulders with Marvel's finest. With an entry in the All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z, this Whiplash earned a place in Marvel's official canon β a small but genuine badge of honor worth a second look for any dedicated Copper Age collector hunting for hidden corners of the Marvel tapestry.
