Weapon Alpha
Weapon Alpha is a Canadian government agent who debuted clashing with the X-Men while attempting to reclaim Wolverine on behalf of Department H. He operates within the Alpha Flight program alongside James MacDonald Hudson, serving as an enforcer for Canada's superhuman initiative.
Few characters can claim their first step onto the comics stage was a collision course with the X-Men themselves, but Weapon Alpha burst onto the Bronze Age scene in 1978's The X-Men #109, courtesy of the legendary creative duo Chris Claremont and John Byrne. This Marvel character shares their pages with heavy hitters like Logan, Colossus, and Ororo Munroe, and turns up most frequently in the Alpha Flight corner of the Marvel Universe alongside the likes of James MacDonald Hudson. With appearances stretching across an impressive four decades and a key-issue debut that collectors still seek out, Weapon Alpha is a compact but compelling piece of Marvel history β a Bronze Age original whose footprint is small, but whose first impression was unforgettable.
