Watto is a Toydarian junk dealer and slave owner on Tatooine who holds young Anakin Skywalker and his mother Shmi in bondage. Immune to Jedi mind tricks, the greedy, winged alien plays a pivotal role in Anakin's life before his path to the Jedi Order.
