Wade Cole
Wade Cole is a minor Marvel mercenary who became a member of the Reavers, a gang of cybernetically enhanced criminals who clashed repeatedly with the X-Men. He later served with Freedom Force, the government-sanctioned team of former mutant villains.
A Bronze Age creation of the legendary Claremont and Byrne partnership, Wade Cole made his debut in the pages of The X-Men #133 in 1980 — a key issue that collectors still seek out today. Over a remarkable 45-year span, Cole has moved through some of Marvel's most intriguing corners, claiming affiliations with the Reavers, Freedom Force, the X-Men, and even the Sentinels — a résumé that speaks to a character who has never stayed still for long. His adventures unfold most often in The Uncanny X-Men, where he shares the page with heavyweights like Wolverine and the formidable Donald Pierce. With two key-issue appearances to his name and a presence stretching across four decades, Wade Cole is the kind of deep-cut Marvel figure that rewards the dedicated reader willing to dig past the headline names.
