Who is Tweedledee?

Tweedledee is one half of a criminal duo in Gotham City, partnered with his identical cousin Tweedledum. Inspired by Lewis Carroll's rotund twins, the two Tweed cousins use their pudgy, harmless appearances to deceive victims while orchestrating elaborate schemes against Batman.

A rotund rogue straight out of Gotham's rogues gallery, Tweedledee made their DC Universe debut in 1987's Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe, stepping into the Copper Age alongside some of comics' most iconic names — including Batman and Bruce Wayne themselves. Most at home in the pages of Batman, Secret Origins, and the charming Batman: Li'l Gotham, this character has kept peculiar company with Deever Tweed and Tweedledum across more than three decades of DC storytelling. A niche delight for dedicated Bat-fans and collectors who love the stranger corners of Gotham, Tweedledee is one of those wonderfully offbeat figures that reminds you just how gloriously weird the DC Universe can be.
