Who is Tucker?

A homegrown Bronze Age creation from the pages of a Canadian newspaper comic anthology, Tucker made their debut in 1979 courtesy of cartoonist Bill Hinds in the pages of The Calgary Herald Comic Book. It's a wonderfully offbeat corner of comics history — a regional publication where Tucker shares the page with the likes of Buck Rogers and Wilma Deering, rubbing elbows with science-fiction royalty in a uniquely local package. With only a handful of catalogued appearances across a short 1979–1980 run, Tucker is a genuine rarity for the dedicated collector, the kind of find that reminds you just how wide and surprising the world of Bronze Age comics truly was.
