Trish
Trish is a character from the debut issue of the seminal alternative anthology Drawn & Quarterly, created by Peter Bagge, appearing alongside other indie comics figures in the early underground literary cartooning scene of 1990.
Trish made her entrance in the very first issue of Drawn & Quarterly back in 1990, born from the pen of P. Bagge at the dawn of what would become one of alternative comics' most celebrated publishers. She's a figure of the early indie underground, sharing pages with a remarkable constellation of creators-turned-characters — Joe Matt, Julie Doucet, and Matt Wagner among them — in a moment when literary cartooning was staking out bold new territory. Her appearances stretch across both the Drawn & Quarterly anthology and the intimate, confessional world of Joe Matt's Peepshow, placing her squarely in the raw, personal storytelling that defined the scene. Seven catalog appearances may be a modest footprint, but in this company and this context, every panel counts.
