Who is Triad?

Triad is the Reboot Legion-era identity of Luornu Durgo, a native of the planet Cargg whose people can split into three fully independent bodies. She joined the Legion of Super-Heroes as a valued member, her triplication ability making her a versatile and formidable hero of the 30th century.

Bursting onto the scene in 1997's Legion of Super-Heroes #99, Triad is a DC Comics creation of the late Copper/Modern Age, shaped by the collaborative talents of Tom Peyer, Tom McCraw, Lee Moder, and Derec Aucoin. Over a span of roughly thirteen years, this character carved out a presence across titles including Legion of Super-Heroes, Adventure Comics, and even Green Lantern, sharing the page with heavy hitters like Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Luornu Durgo. It's a run that speaks to real staying power in the dense, continuity-rich world of DC's far-future storytelling — a corner of the universe where only the most compelling figures endure.
