The One Above All
The One Above All is Marvel's supreme omnipotent being, existing above every cosmic hierarchy — including the Living Tribunal — as the ultimate source of all life and existence in the Marvel multiverse. It has appeared in mortal guise, most notably as a compassionate elderly figure.
Few characters in comics carry a name as cosmically absolute as The One Above All — a Marvel entity whose very title signals a position at the apex of existence itself. Debuting in 1992's Marvel Comics Presents #102, courtesy of Gerry Conway and Tom Sutton, this figure emerged in the Copper/Modern Age and has kept extraordinarily rarefied company ever since, sharing pages with the likes of the Hulk, Thor, Silver Surfer, and Namor. With appearances across landmark projects like Earth X and Defenders: Beyond, The One Above All turns up only sparingly — just six catalog appearances across three decades — which somehow makes each encounter feel all the more significant. If you're drawn to the furthest, most mythic reaches of the Marvel cosmos, this is a presence worth seeking out.
