Tara Maclay

Tara Maclay is a gentle, soft-spoken Wiccan who becomes a close ally of the Scooby Gang in Sunnydale, forming a deep bond with fellow witch Willow Rosenberg as they work together against supernatural threats alongside Buffy and her friends.

Tara Maclay made her comics debut in 2001 courtesy of creators Tom Fassbender, Jim Pascoe, and Cliff Richards, stepping into the Modern Age Dark Horse universe alongside some of the Buffyverse's most beloved figures — Willow Rosenberg, Buffy Summers, Xander Harris, Spike, and Dawn Summers. Her presence across titles like Dark Horse Extra, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Lost and Found, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Lovers Walk places her squarely in the heart of that rich comics extension of the Sunnydale world, and the fact that her catalog footprint stretches all the way to 2015 speaks to how warmly fans held onto her.
