Who is Scratchy?

Scratchy is the hapless cat half of the fictional cartoon duo Itchy & Scratchy, a show-within-a-show on The Simpsons. He perpetually suffers extreme cartoon violence at the hands of his mouse nemesis Itchy, serving as the straight-man victim in their anarchic slapstick dynamic.

Half of one of animation's most beloved comedy duos, Scratchy made his comic book debut in Itchy & Scratchy Comics #2 in 1994, brought to the Bongo Comics page by a creative team that includes Dan Castellaneta and Deb Lacusta alongside Steve Vance and Bill Morrison. This Copper/Modern Age cat has kept wild company across more than two decades of Bongo publishing, sharing pages with Itchy as well as Springfield's finest — Homer, Marge, Lisa, and Milhouse Van Houten. A niche treasure for Simpsons completists, Scratchy's comic appearances are few and genuinely collectible, a fun footnote in the sprawling world of Bongo's Springfield universe.
