Who is Schleprock?

A face only a Flintstones fan could love, Schleprock shuffled onto Bronze Age pages in 1973 when Charlton Comics brought the teenage world of Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm to life in four-color form. Debuting in issue #12, this perpetually unlucky figure shares his stone-age adventures with the likes of Pebbles Flintstone, Bamm-Bamm Rubble, and the wonderfully named Wiggy Rockstone and Moonrock Crater — a cast that captures all the goofy charm of Hanna-Barbera's prehistoric teen scene. His catalog appearances are modest, but for collectors hunting Charlton's mid-seventies funny-book output, tracking down those few issues is a delightful slice of Bronze Age pop culture.
