Salamix
Salamix is a minor Gaulish character from the Asterix universe, created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Inhabiting the same irreverent ancient-Gaul setting as Asterix and Obelix, the character follows the series' tradition of punny, charm-laden names for its village inhabitants.
Born from the legendary creative partnership of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, Salamix made their debut in 1973's MV Comix #19, stepping into the Bronze Age alongside some of the most beloved characters in European comics — Asterix, Obelix, and the irrepressible Idefix among them. Published through Egmont Ehapa and appearing across MV Comix and the Asterix series into the mid-1980s, Salamix inhabits a world of wonderfully inventive names and irresistible Gaulish charm. With only a handful of catalog appearances, this is a rare find for the dedicated collector who wants to go deeper into the rich, sprawling universe that Goscinny and Uderzo built — a genuine piece of comics history worth seeking out.
