Who is Rubberduck?

Rubberduck is a funny-animal superhero and member of the Zoo Crew, an anthropomorphic team from Earth-C in the DC Multiverse. A duck with rubber-like elasticity, he can stretch and deform his body similarly to Plastic Man or Mr. Fantastic.

Rubberduck is one of the delightfully imaginative creations to emerge from DC's Bronze Age, debuting in 1982 in Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew! #1 — a series that brought a whole universe of funny-animal superheroics to life under the hands of Roy Thomas, Scott Shaw!, and Ross Andru. Sharing adventures alongside Captain Carrot, Pig-Iron, and other Zoo Crew favorites, this character is part of one of comics' most charmingly offbeat ensembles, a corner of the DC multiverse where wit and whimsy ruled the day. Rubberduck's profile was notable enough to earn a spot in Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe, cementing a place in the broader DC canon beyond the pages of the original series. For collectors with a soft spot for the Bronze Age's more playful experiments, this is exactly the kind of character that reminds you how wonderfully weird and wide the world of comics can be.
