Roger
Roger is a homunculus — an artificially created human-like being — who joins the B.P.R.D. as a field agent. Despite lacking a heartbeat or natural life force, he possesses great physical strength and fights alongside Hellboy and teammates against paranormal threats.
Stepping out of the pages of Dark Horse's beloved Hellboy universe, Roger made his Modern Age debut in Hellboy: Weird Tales #7 in 2004, brought to life by Jim Pascoe, Tom Fassbender, and Simeon Wilkins. Over a remarkable seventeen-year span, he carved out a presence across some of the B.P.R.D.'s most celebrated storylines — Plague of Frogs and King of Fear among them — sharing adventures with heavy-hitters like Hellboy, Elizabeth Sherman, Abraham Sapien, and Johann Kraus. It's rarefied company, and Roger holds his own within it, a figure woven into the rich, monster-haunted tapestry that makes Dark Horse's paranormal corner of comics so endlessly compelling. For fans who love the deeper bench of the B.P.R.D. world, Roger is exactly the kind of discovery that rewards a thorough read-through.
