Who is Ree?

Ree is a prehistoric cavewoman featured in Charlton Comics' adaptation of the TV series Korg: 70,000 B.C., living alongside the family group led by Korg in a Stone Age world defined by daily survival roughly 70,000 years in the past.

Stepping out of the prehistoric mists of the Bronze Age, Ree made her debut in Charlton Comics' Korg: 70,000 B.C. #2 in 1975, brought to life by the distinctive pen of Pat Boyette. Part of a tight-knit cast that includes Korg, Mara, Bok, Tane, and Tor, she inhabits one of comics' most unusual settings — a world of survival, stone, and sky stretching back seventy millennia. Charlton's Korg: 70,000 B.C. was a wonderfully offbeat corner of Bronze Age publishing, and with 8 catalog appearances across the series' brief but memorable 1975–1977 run, Ree is a genuine piece of that prehistoric puzzle — the kind of character that makes digging through Charlton back issues such a rewarding adventure.
