Rafael

Rafael is the Dutch-market name for Raphael, one of four mutant ninja turtles trained by the rat sensei Splinter in the sewers of New York City. Hot-headed and fierce, he wields a pair of sai and fights alongside his brothers Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo.

A Dutch-market gem from the mid-nineties, Rafael made his debut in 1994's Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles #45, brought to life by Dean Clarrain, Jan de Rooij, and Chris Allan for Juniorpress. Emerging during the Copper/Modern Age at the height of Turtle-mania, he shares his pages with none other than Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Splinter themselves.
