Quentin Gentil
Pierre Brisson introduced Quentin Gentil to readers of the beloved French anthology Vaillant back in 1965, and this Silver Age creation went on to share pages with a wonderfully named cast of characters — Pivoine Agénor, Mouche, Calixte Hautcœur, and Copain — across a run that stretched a remarkable thirty years. Published by Éditions Vaillant, a cornerstone of Franco-Belgian comics culture, Quentin's adventures found a home in both Vaillant and Pas d'obstacle pour les As !, making him a genuine fixture of that distinctive tradition. While the catalog footprint is modest, a character who endures from 1965 all the way to 1995 clearly left a mark on the readers who grew up with him — and for collectors with a passion for French comics history, tracking down his appearances is a rewarding piece of the puzzle.
