Emerging from the edgy, independent comics scene of the mid-1990s, Poizon is a London Night Studios creation who debuted in 1995's Razor: Swimsuit Special, courtesy of creator Everette Hartsoe. She quickly carved out her own corner of that gritty universe, headlining titles like Poizon Cadillacs and Green Tomatoes and appearing in specialty publications such as the London Night Lingerie Special and the Ladies of London Night Winter Special — the kind of provocative, collector-friendly fare that defined indie publishing in the Copper/Modern Age. With a run stretching into the early 2000s and appearances alongside standout London Night characters like Razor, Tommi Gunn, and Stryke, Poizon is a genuine artifact of that bold, boundary-pushing era when small publishers were swinging for the fences.
