Debuting in 1989's Marvel Comics Presents #28 — crafted by the legendary team of Don McGregor and Gene Colan — Plasma is a Copper Age Marvel creation whose shadow has stretched surprisingly far, with appearances catalogued across more than three decades into 2024. This is a character forged in the company of heavy hitters: Moon Knight and Logan are among those who share the page, and turning up in Moon Knight: City of the Dead places Plasma squarely in some of Marvel's darker, more atmospheric corners. Thirteen appearances may sound modest, but a debut by McGregor and Colan carries real pedigree, and any character who keeps finding their way back into Marvel's street-level, noir-tinged storytelling is one worth tracking down.
