Philip Factotum made his entrance in the very first issue of Franka back in 1978, part of the Bronze Age wave of European comics storytelling that Henk Kuijpers helped define. A supporting presence across roughly fifteen years of the beloved Dutch series, he shares those pages with a colorful cast including Franka herself, Commissaris Noordenwind, and Argos Attak — fine company in a book that clearly knew how to populate its world with memorable faces. With only six catalog appearances he's a rarity rather than a headliner, but for the dedicated Franka collector, tracking down a character present from the very beginning carries its own quiet satisfaction.
