Orbit

Fresh off the page and already running with some of the X-Men's heaviest hitters, Orbit made their Marvel debut in 2024's X-Men #4, brought to life by writer Jed MacKay and artist Netho Diaz right in the thick of the Modern Age's bold new era for mutantkind. With only a handful of appearances so far, this is a character right at the beginning of their story — sharing adventures alongside the likes of Cyclops, Magik, and Kid Omega, which is about as baptism-by-fire an introduction as the X-Men corner of Marvel can offer. Orbit is one to watch: new voices in comics don't always arrive alongside that caliber of company, and getting in on the ground floor of a character's history is one of the quiet joys of being a comics fan.
