Mr. Van Driessen
Stepping straight out of the irreverent early-'90s zeitgeist, Mr. Van Driessen made his comics debut in Beavis & Butt-Head #1 (1994), brought to the page by creator Rick Parker in what was a genuinely unexpected Marvel publishing venture. As the long-suffering, well-meaning presence in a world dominated by the chaos of Beavis, Butt-Head, and the likes of Todd Ianuzzi and Stewart Stevenson, he anchors the comedic mayhem with his particular brand of earnest patience β and even shares a corner of the Marvel universe with Spider-Man, of all people. His appearances are few and choice, making each one a treat for fans of the series, and his presence in Beavis and Butt-Head's Greatest Hits cements his status as a genuine piece of early Modern Age pop-culture comics history.
