Morton Koopa Jr.
Morton Koopa Jr. is one of Bowser's seven children, a pint-sized Koopa villain who menaces Mario and Princess Toadstool alongside his siblings Roy and Lemmy, all under the command of their father Bowser.
One of Bowser's infamous Koopa Kids, Morton Koopa Jr. stomped onto the page in 1990 courtesy of creators Bill Vallely, Mark McClellan, and George Wildman, right in the thick of the Copper/Modern Age comics boom. Published by Acclaim/Valiant, this pint-sized villain carved out his niche across Super Mario Bros. and Adventures of the Super Mario Bros., sharing panels with the likes of Mario, Princess Toadstool, and fellow Koopa siblings Roy and Lemmy — not to mention the big bad Bowser himself. With only six catalogued appearances across a short 1990–1991 run, Morton is a genuine rarity, the kind of character that completionist collectors of the Nintendo comics era will hunt down with real dedication.
