Miss Masque
Miss Masque was a masked crimefighter who debuted in the Golden Age, using her wits and daring rather than superpowers to battle wrongdoers. AC Comics later revived the character as part of its celebration of classic Golden Age heroines.
Debuting in the pages of The Fighting Yank #22 in 1947, Miss Masque is a genuine Golden Age treasure β one of those masked heroines who emerged from comics' most adventurous early era and somehow never stopped turning up. Created by Al Camy, she first graced the classic anthology landscape of America's Best Comics and Exciting Comics before finding a true long-term home in AC Comics' beloved FemForce, where she shares adventures with a remarkable roster of fellow heroines including Ms. Victory, She-Cat, Stardust, and Joan Wayne. With nearly eight decades of publication history stretching from 1947 all the way to 2024, and a key issue to her name, Miss Masque is a testament to the enduring appeal of the Golden Age heroine β a character with deep roots and a passionate collector following who knows exactly how special she is.
