Who is Miraclewoman?

Miraclewoman is a superhuman counterpart to Miracleman, introduced as another product of the same secret program that created him — a woman with an alter ego who can transform into a godlike being by speaking a trigger word.

Bursting onto the scene in 1986 courtesy of creator catherine yronwode, Miraclewoman is a Copper Age original whose debut in Miracleman #10 immediately placed her in one of the most acclaimed and ambitious comics of her era. Over a remarkable span stretching all the way to 2022, she has kept extraordinary company — sharing pages with Miracleman himself, the enigmatic Kid Miracleman, and the likes of Mike Moran and Johnny Bates in a series renowned for pushing the boundaries of superhero storytelling. Her appearances may be select rather than sprawling, but in a book where every issue carries weight, that scarcity only adds to her mystique. For collectors and readers who prize the Miracleman saga, she's a figure well worth seeking out.
