Who is Medusa?

Medusalith Amaquelin is a member of the Inhumans, a race of superhumans who underwent Terrigenesis — exposure to the Terrigen Mist — granting her prehensile, superhumanly strong hair she can wield as a weapon. She serves as queen consort to Black Bolt and occasional ambassador between Inhumans and humanity.

Stepping onto the Brazilian comics scene in 1979 with Homem Aranha #1, this Medusa is a Bronze Age figure published by Editora Abril — the beloved Portuguese-language Marvel imprint that brought Marvel's universe to generations of Brazilian readers. Across a publishing span stretching all the way to 2012, she surfaces in flagship titles like Superaventuras Marvel and A Teia do Aranha, sharing pages with the likes of Peter Parker and Tocha Humana. A modest but enduring presence in Editora Abril's catalog, she's a rewarding find for collectors with a passion for Marvel's rich international publishing history.
