Who is Mara?

Mara is a prehistoric woman living in the Stone Age world of Korg: 70,000 B.C., sharing her harsh ancient environment with fellow cave-dwellers Korg, Bok, Ree, Tane, and Tor as part of a close-knit early-human group.

Straight from the Bronze Age pages of Charlton Comics, Mara made her debut in 1975's Korg: 70,000 B.C. #1, brought to life by the distinctive hand of Pat Boyette. She inhabits a prehistoric world shared with the likes of Korg, Bok, Ree, Tane, and Tor — a tight-knit cast carved from the Stone Age setting that made this series such a curio of mid-seventies comics. With a run lasting only a couple of years and a modest but devoted catalog presence, Mara is a genuine Charlton rarity — the kind of character that rewards the curious collector who digs past the mainstream and into the wonderfully offbeat corners of Bronze Age publishing.
