Majestix
Majestix is the chief of the Gaulish village in the Asterix series, responsible for leading his stubborn, quarrelsome tribe. True to his role, he is frequently carried on a shield — and just as frequently dropped by his bearers mid-argument.
Few characters embody the comic chaos of a Gaulish village quite like Majestix, who made his debut in 1975 under the legendary creative partnership of Goscinny and Uderzo. A Bronze Age arrival into one of Europe's most beloved comic universes, he shares his pages with the likes of Asterix, Obelix, Miraculix, and the rest of that irrepressible Gaulish cast — rarefied company by any measure. With appearances across multiple Asterix series editions, including the Swedish Hemmets Journal publications, Majestix has found readers well beyond his Franco-Belgian origins. Thirteen catalog appearances may sound modest, but in a world this richly populated, every recurring face in the village tells a story worth discovering.
