Magic Lantern

Emerging from the Copper Age indie comics scene in 1990, Magic Lantern made their debut in Armageddon Factor: The Conclusion — a key AC Comics event title — courtesy of creators Rik Levins, Bill Marimon, and Darren Goodhart. AC Comics was home to a wonderfully distinctive corner of superhero storytelling, and Magic Lantern found a place within it alongside a colorful roster that includes Paragon, Scarlet Scorpion, Speedbolt, and Nightman. With appearances across FemForce and Paragon as well, this character wove through some of AC's most beloved titles during their early-'90s heyday. Rare in the catalog with only four recorded appearances, Magic Lantern is exactly the kind of hidden gem that makes digging through Copper Age back issues so rewarding.
