Little Hot Dog
Little Hot Dog is the canine companion of Little Archie, the pint-sized version of Jughead's dog Hot Dog who exists within the younger, all-ages Little Archie stories. He serves as a loyal, playful pet in the lighthearted adventures of the grade-school Archie gang.
Hot Dog may be Jughead's famous canine companion in the main Archie universe, but Little Hot Dog is a distinct delight in his own right β the pint-sized pup who romps through the younger, sunnier world of Little Archie, debuting in 1987's Archie Giant Series Magazine #566 courtesy of the beloved Bob Bolling. A Copper Age creation with surprising staying power, this little fellow kept showing up across digest after digest β Archie's Double Digest, Jughead's Double Digest, Archie's Pals 'n' Gals Double Digest β sharing pages with Little Archie Andrews, Little Jughead, Little Reggie, and the Andrews family well into 2017. Thirty years of digest appearances is no small feat for any character, and for collectors who love the warm, wholesome charm of Bolling's Little Archie corner of the universe, Little Hot Dog is an endearing piece of that legacy worth seeking out.
