Leonardo
Leonardo is the blue-masked leader of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — a mutant turtle raised in New York City's sewers by the rat sensei Splinter, trained in the art of ninjutsu, and armed with twin katana.
Leonardo leaps into the Modern Age with a 2013 Free Comic Book Day debut courtesy of creators Erik Burnham and Dario Brizuela, joining IDW's animated-adventures corner of the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe. He shares the sewers and the spotlight with familiar faces — Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello, Splinter, and April O'Neil — in a lineup that any turtle fan will instantly recognize. His appearances span highlights like the crossover spectacle of Batman / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures and IDW's affectionate 40th Anniversary Comics Celebration, making him a presence in some genuinely fun, fan-cherished chapters of the franchise's history.
