Who is KITT?

KITT is the artificially intelligent, technologically advanced car from the Knight Rider TV series, partnered with crime-fighter Michael Knight. Virtually indestructible and capable of speech, KITT appeared in Look-In adaptations of the show alongside Michael Knight.

Few vehicles in comics have captured imaginations quite like KITT, the sleek, intelligent machine who roared onto the Bronze Age comics scene in 1983 courtesy of creators Angus P. Allan and Bill Titcombe in the pages of Look-In. A fixture of ITV's beloved weekly comic anthology, KITT shares adventures alongside Michael Knight and Colt Seavers, keeping some seriously cool company in those pages. With 19 catalog appearances concentrated in Look-In, this is a character — or rather, a very singular vehicle — that speaks directly to the heart of early-'80s pop culture enthusiasm, the kind of thing that had kids rushing to the newsagent every week.
