Kent
Kent is a supporting character in Sam Kieth's surreal series The Maxx, inhabiting the same strange, dreamlike world as the Maxx himself and the enigmatic Mr. Gone. He debuted in the 1993 Wizard promotional issue.
Stepping out of the early-Image era's boldest and most surreal corner, Kent made his debut in 1993's Wizard Presents: Maxx #1/2, co-created by the visionary Sam Kieth and Andrew Steven Harris. He's a supporting presence in the strange, dreamlike world of The Maxx, sharing those iconic pages with the likes of Maxx himself, Mr. Gone, and Sarah James β as eclectic and offbeat a cast as comics has ever assembled. His appearances span an impressive arc from the Copper/Modern Age all the way through to The Maxx: Maxximized in 2014, proof that this universe has staying power worth revisiting. If you're drawn to the weird, wonderful fringes of Image's early output, Kent is a quiet thread woven through one of the era's most genuinely singular titles.
