Who is Kaapo?
Kaapo made their comics debut in the pages of Myrkky in 1995, a Finnish publication from Egmont Kustannus, arriving right in the heart of the Modern Age. Created by Frode Øverli — a Scandinavian cartoonist who would go on to earn a devoted following — Kaapo inhabits a wonderfully offbeat corner of Nordic comics, sharing those irreverent pages with a cast of memorably named characters like Pera Pervo, Vilpert Vilunki, and Puolikas. With only a handful of catalog appearances across a short run, Kaapo is a genuine rarity — a small gem for collectors with a taste for the quirky, distinctly Northern European humor that Myrkky delivered so gleefully in the mid-nineties.
