Iggy Koopa

Iggy Koopa is one of Bowser's seven Koopa Kids, a recurring antagonist who causes chaos alongside his villainous family in service of their schemes against Mario and Princess Toadstool.

One of the infamous Koopa Kids brought to four-color life, Iggy Koopa made his comics debut in 1990's Super Mario Bros. #3 from Acclaim/Valiant — part of that brief, wonderfully chaotic early-'90s wave when Nintendo's biggest stars leapt from the screen onto the spinner rack. Crafted by Bill Vallely, Mark McClellan, and George Wildman, Iggy turns up across Super Mario Bros. and Adventures of the Super Mario Bros., keeping rowdy company with Bowser, Mario, Princess Toadstool, and fellow Koopa siblings Morton Jr. and Roy. With only six catalog appearances, he's a genuinely rare find — a niche treasure for the collector who wants every corner of the Mushroom Kingdom's comic-book chapter represented on their shelf.
