Who is Idefix?

Idefix is the Norwegian name for Dogmatix, the small but spirited dog companion to Gaul warriors Asterix and Obelix in René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo's beloved Franco-Belgian comic series.

Few comics companions are as instantly beloved as Idefix, who bounded onto the page in 1972 — right in the heart of the Bronze Age — through the Norwegian publisher Hjemmet / Egmont's Tempo. Brought to life by creators André Beckers, Harald Dyrkorn, and Manuel Ferreira, this little character shares their adventures with none other than Asterix and Obelix, which tells you everything about the spirited world they inhabit. With seven catalog appearances concentrated in Tempo across the 1970s, Idefix may have a compact comics footprint, but the company they keep is absolutely legendary — and that alone makes tracking down these issues a genuine treat for any devoted collector.
