Henry Orlock
A minor but memorable face in Marvel's Bronze Age street-level world, Henry Orlock made his first appearance in The Spectacular Spider-Man #27 in 1979, brought to life by the formidable creative pairing of Bill Mantlo and a young Frank Miller. With only a handful of catalog appearances spread across three decades, Orlock is very much a background player — but the company he keeps is anything but ordinary, sharing pages with the likes of Carrion, Matt Murdock, and the Masked Marauder across titles that represent some of Marvel's most celebrated ground-level storytelling. His presence in Daredevil by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson alone makes him a genuine piece of comics history, a small thread woven into the fabric of an era that redefined what superhero comics could be.
