Gremlin
The Gremlin is a Soviet prodigy and son of the original Gargoyle, born with extraordinary intelligence who grew up to become a dangerous enemy of the Hulk and a key figure in Cold War-era Marvel conflicts, deploying advanced technology in service of the USSR.
A creature of the Bronze Age Marvel cosmos, Gremlin made their debut in Strange #176 in 1984, brought to life by the celebrated team of Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema. Published across an impressive span stretching into the mid-2000s, this character inhabits some seriously heavy-hitting corners of the Marvel universe β sharing pages with the likes of Hulk, Iron Man, and Bruce Banner, as well as the enigmatic Kurt Wagner and Kondrati Topolov. Appearing across Strange, Hulk, and Marvel : Les origines under the Editions Lug banner, Gremlin is a fascinating piece of French Marvel publishing history, a character whose two-decade presence rewards the dedicated collector willing to dig into this distinctive corner of the Bronze Age world.
