Gorr

Gorr is a god-hating alien who, after suffering devastating loss and abandonment by the gods he once prayed to, obtained a dark, symbiote-like weapon called the All-Black the Necrosword and dedicated himself to slaughtering every god in existence.

Few villains to emerge from Marvel's Modern Age have left as searing an impression as Gorr, who burst onto the scene in Thor: God of Thunder #2 in 2013, courtesy of creators Jake Thomas and Esad Ribić. Sharing the page with the likes of Thor Odinson and even the cosmic might of the Phoenix Force, Gorr moves in genuinely rarefied company — a testament to the scale of menace he represents. His presence has rippled across more than a decade of Marvel storytelling, from Thor: God of Thunder to Phoenix and beyond, cementing him as one of the more enduring antagonists the Modern Age has produced.
